Hush Boxes · JVC100MMHBMK1

MK1

Actively cooled and exhausted via 4" flexible ducts routed outside the room. A variable speed inline fan with duct silencers and a Smart Wi-Fi temperature controller deliver complete thermal and acoustic control — run your projector in high lamp or laser mode. Built to any height: 340 mm is the shallow standard and 565 mm a taller chassis, shown here as sizing examples.

Size

Designed in partnership with JVC and Dynamat, both models bring together noise reduction, controlled cooling, and custom craftsmanship.

*Measured in the room with the projector running, before and after the box. The room's noise floor is subtracted to isolate the projector's contribution. Individual results will vary.

How we measured the noise reduction

These are in-room readings, not anechoic-chamber measurements, so they include the room's own noise floor (36.9 dBA with the projector off). The calculation below subtracts that floor to isolate the projector's contribution to the room's noise, before and after the box. Both sets of readings were taken in the same spot in the room.

Before the box
Projector off: 36.9 dBA. Projector on: 39.5 dBA.
After the box
Projector off: 36.9 dBA. Projector on: 37.5 dBA.
Projector contribution without the box
10 × log10(10^(39.5/10) − 10^(36.9/10)) = 36.0 dBA
Projector contribution with the box
10 × log10(10^(37.5/10) − 10^(36.9/10)) = 28.6 dBA

36.0 dBA − 28.6 dBA = 7.4 dBA of noise reduction.

With the lamp on high and the exhaust fan running, the box adds only 0.6 dB to the room's noise. Individual results will vary.
